No syringe needed

SNAP-8 is taken topical, so there is no U-100 syringe draw for it.

What it does

SNAP-8 is applied to the skin, never injected. It softens the muscle signalling behind crow's feet, forehead lines and lines around the mouth, and supports collagen at the same time. Studies of twice-daily use report visible wrinkle reduction over about a month.

Mechanism

An octapeptide that interferes with the SNARE complex, reducing acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction so fine expression muscles contract less forcefully.

Storage — lyophilisedwhat's this?

Store the sealed vial in the fridge.

Storage — reconstitutedwhat's this?

Refrigerate; use within about 4 weeks or blend into a serum.

Reconstitution noteswhat's this?

Mix a 10 mg vial with only 0.3-0.5 mL (30-50 units) of bacteriostatic water. Because the volume is so low, let it sit 10-20 minutes to fully dissolve. Apply to clean skin morning and night — topical only, never inject.

Stacks well with

Popular combinations reported in the community and research literature — not a recommendation. Adding peptides multiplies side-effect risk; check with a clinician.

Commonly reported side effects

  • Mild redness
  • Irritation, especially alongside retinoids or vitamin C

Contraindications noted

  • Broken or inflamed skin

Research notes

Cosmetic ingredient with supplier-run studies showing 30-68% reduction in wrinkle depth after a month of twice-daily use.
