Once daily for 30-60 days
Cycle
6 weeks on, 10 off
Half-life
Short — effects persist after the course

20 mg3 mL11–30 units
20 mg5 mL19–50 units

On a U-100 syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, and the syringe holds 100 units total. Most people keep a single subcutaneous injection under about 50 units — bigger volumes are usually mixed stronger (less water) or split into two shots. Only mixes that fit in one syringe are shown. Always double-check with the reconstitution calculator.

What it does

Prostamax is used by men dealing with the everyday effects of an enlarging prostate — waking to urinate, weak stream, pelvic discomfort, or reduced ejaculation. Courses run 30-60 days, a few times a year.

Mechanism

A tissue-specific bioregulator believed to normalise gene expression in prostate tissue, reducing inflammation and supporting normal function.

Storage — lyophilisedwhat's this?

Refrigerate the sealed vial.

Storage — reconstitutedwhat's this?

Refrigerate and use within about 4 weeks.

Reconstitution noteswhat's this?

Mix a 20 mg vial with 2 mL (200 units) of bacteriostatic water (10 mg/mL). Standard: 8 units (about 750 mcg) once daily for 30-60 days. Higher protocol for significant BPH symptoms: 20 units (2 mg) once daily for 30-60 days. Three to four courses a year.

Stacks well with

Popular combinations reported in the community and research literature — not a recommendation. Adding peptides multiplies side-effect risk; check with a clinician.

Commonly reported side effects

  • Injection site reactions
  • Mild headache

Contraindications noted

  • Prostate cancer or an unexplained rising PSA without a urologist involved

Research notes

Get a PSA and a urology opinion before self-treating prostate symptoms — the symptoms overlap with cancer.
