What it does
A four-amino-acid peptide studied in long-term Russian research for healthy ageing. It appears to influence the pineal gland and melatonin rhythm and has been reported to support telomerase, the enzyme that maintains the protective caps on DNA. What people look into it for: • Restoring a normal sleep-wake rhythm • General healthy-ageing and longevity protocols • Antioxidant and immune support • Skin and overall vitality It is typically run as a short course once or twice a year rather than continuously, and the human data comes from a small number of older studies.
Mechanism
Reported to stimulate telomerase and normalise melatonin rhythm in animal studies.
